Expressive Blossoms in Acrylics Workshop

I've collaborated with the lovely folk at Townhouse Ceramics to bring you an in person painting workshop called 'Expressive Blossoms in Acrylics'. We had a dry run earlier this month with some of their friends and family and all had such a fantastic time!

blossom painting workshop dry run

The thing I loved most about it was that although everyone had the same materials and guidelines to work from, each of them left with a completely unique painting that totally reflected their own personality 🤩

The workshop is aimed at all abilities, and we had a fairly wide range at the dry run, so I'm confident that even if you've never picked up a paint brush before, you'll still leave with a creation that you're proud of...

One of the best comments I had at the workshop was that he was inspired to make time to do some more painting, as he'd enjoyed it so much - despite not having done anything like this for many years 😊

The actual workshop will take place on Saturday 5th September 2026, to kick off the Herts Open Studios which I'm taking part in at Townhouse Ceramics Studio and Gallery.

Here are all the details!

Information about the workshop

creating texture in painting workshop

I'll help you to create a vibrant expressive blossom painting in acrylics. We'll explore different ways to create texture to form an interesting background, learn a little bit about colour mixing with acrylic paint, and then look at how to make petal shapes and flowers that create the suggestion of branches loaded in blossoms.

You'll leave with a finished piece on canvas board to take home with you and hopefully a head full of ideas and inspiration for future projects!

To get the most fun out of the workshop, make sure you wear clothes that you don't mind getting a bit of paint on, as acrylics can sometimes be messy!
