A DAY FOR ICE CREAM No.2 is an abstract floral original painting that continues my celebration of all things light, bright and happily summery. I wanted to capture that carefree feeling of a warm afternoon when time slows down, the flowers seem to glow, and the world feels full of gentle colour and possibility.

Using layers of pinks, yellows, and soft whites, I built up the painting intuitively - adding splashes, dabs, and textures until it had that hazy, sunlit quality I was after. It’s full of movement and warmth, like sunlight flickering through petals or the simple happiness of an unplanned day spent outside.

Playful, fresh, and full of summer spirit, I hope that A DAY FOR ICE CREAM No.2 brings a little burst of sunshine to your favourite space - just like its name suggests.

It’s also the perfect accompaniment to its sister painting, the slightly smaller A DAY FOR ICE CREAM No.1, though both look equally good on their own.
